The Australian Government and the DIBP have a range of visas designed for people with a background in Investment or Business Ownership.
This Visa has been designed for those who have an ownership interest of a business within their home country; and are wishing to establish a new or take possession and advance an existing business in Australia.
Suited for applicants who:
- Want to establish a new business or buy into an existing business, and are willing to live in Australia while taking on a role in running the business
- Are nominated by a State or Territory government agency
- Satisfy various health and character criteria
Permitted activities:
- Establish a business or buy into an existing business in Australia
- Travel in and out of Australia for the life of your visa (4 years)
- Bring immediate family members with you to Australia – family members may work/study in Australia
- Path to permanent residence after a minimum of 2 financial years through subclass 888 visa
This Visa has been designed for those wishing to make a designated investment of at least AUD 1.5 million in an Australian State or Territory Bond; and are prepared to maintain business or investment activity in Australia. Suited for applicants who:
- Are willing to make an on-going commitment to investment activity in Australia, starting with a AUD 1.5 million investment into government bonds for 4 years – Are nominated by a State or Territory government agency
- Satisfy various health and character criteria
Permitted activities:
- Invest in a government bond with the State or Territory that has nominated you
- Travel in and out of Australia for the life of your visa (4years)
- Bring immediate family members with you to Australia – family members may work/study in Australia
- Path to permanent residence after 4 years through subclass 888 visa
This Visa has been designed for those wishing to invest at least AUD5 million into complying investments within Australia with a view to maintain business and Investment activity in Australia.
Suited for applicants who:
- Are willing to invest at least AUD 5 million in Australia and intend to maintain investment activity after the original investment matures
- Are nominated by a State or Territory government agency
- Satisfy various health and character criteria
Permitted activities:
- Invest in investments (complying investment) of a type specified by the Australian Government and maintain them for at least 4 years
- Travel in and out of Australia for the life of your visa (4 years)
- Bring immediate family members with you to Australia – family members may work/study in Australia
- Path to permanent residence after 4 years through subclass 888 visa
This is a permanent visa for those who have an ownership interest in a large business within Australia and are nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency.
Suited for applicants who:
- Establish a new or invest in an existing business in Australia
- Bring immediate family members with you to Australia – family members may work/study in Australia
As this visa provides permanent residency, you and your family members can:
- Stay in Australia indefinitely o Work and study in Australia
- Enrol in Medicare – Australia’s healthcare system
- Sponsor eligible relatives for migration Travel to and from Australia for the 5 year life of the initial visa.
Permitted activities:
- Invest in investments (complying investment) of a type specified by the Australian Government.
- Travel in and out of Australia for the life of your visa (5 years)
- Bring immediate family members with you to Australia – family members may work/study in Australia
- Enrol into Medicare
- Apply for Australian Citizenship when permissible
